Why This?

As much as I loved diners, I was always more interested in the people who ran them, visited them, and worked in them. It’s the personalities that add richness to our culture, and in talking to them, I got a deeper understanding of what our country represents. And unlike what you see on major media, it represents the best of humanity. I want to continue that exploration. As we learn more about the paths that people walked to reach their destinations, we arrive at a better understanding of who we are as a nation.

I want also to write about topics peripherally associated with my hope to reestablish that connection, including what I’m personally doing to leave the world a better place than how I found it.
